A Note of Thanks

July 18, 2022

We are thrilled to announce that the BestEx Research Algorithm Management System, AMS, has been voted Best Algorithmic Trading Platform in the 2022 Waters Rankings—determined by customer votes. Our team has been working diligently since 2017 to democratize access to high-performance execution algorithms with AMS, and we are delighted to see that our clients value what we have created. Receiving this strong support from our clients requires a moment of pause to reflect on where we are today and where we are heading.

At BestEx Research, we strive to save every possible basis point in execution costs for asset managers with our sophisticated execution algorithms and performance measurement tools. Our multi-asset AMS is currently live for equities and futures and was recognized by Waters for bringing execution algorithms together with EMS capabilities, customization, backtesting, and TCA in one seamless, broker-neutral platform. AMS makes algorithmic trading transparent, measurable, and fully customizable across asset classes. It is the first of its kind.

One of the things our clients seem to appreciate most about our products and our firm is our systematic, research-driven approach to all that we do. Every change to our algorithms is backtested in our realistic simulation platform and A/B tested in production. Our quantitative client base values the statistical rigor we apply to performance evaluation and appreciates our enthusiasm in sharing our research and design principles.

As a firm, our identity is deeply rooted in both research and transparency, and we share the research and evidence that drive our decisions in the design of our execution algorithms. Whether it is research that drives our product development or research regarding market structure changes or concerns, we bring unbiased, data-driven evidence to the discussion. When we see an opportunity for market structure to be improved or navigated differently to lower investors’ costs, we are not afraid to be vocal about our views. From white papers and webinars to client meetings and industry panels, we believe in transparency and will continue to share information as we step forward.

Because we’re just getting started.

While our team has accomplished much in a short time, revolutionizing execution with the industry’s first multi-asset AMS, our to-do list is long. Our focus remains on research to iteratively improve algorithm performance, both off-the-shelf and for each individual client based on their unique order characteristics through consulting. We will also be investing in expansion to new regions [with news coming soon!] and asset classes. We have the FX market squarely in our sights and plan to resolve the challenges that arise from its heavily fragmented market structure. We are also currently investing in the development of TCA 2.0 within AMS, so there is even more functionality on the way.

As we look forward, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to our clients. Many thanks for your trust in choosing BestEx Research as your algorithmic trading partner and for taking the time to express your support with your votes. Your partnership and feedback drive us forward, and we will continue to improve our platform to deliver on our promise of best execution as your needs continue to evolve with global markets.

In addition, I want to both congratulate and thank the entire BestEx Research team for your belief in our mission and your dedication to research, product development, and client service. Working with extremely talented people with high expectations makes each of us better. Together, we’re moving the needle on excellence and transparency in algorithmic execution, and this award is a reflection of your hard work.

Thank you once again to our clients, partners, and employees for joining us on this exciting and rewarding journey. While we have come so far in just two and a half years since launching our platform, the best is ahead.
